In the Land of Oz Shawl Project!

Good evening! Well, it's evening at least for me right now. I thought I'd share my newest project that I'm knitting up right now. Yes, this is another Christmas present for a un-named family member. It's called "In the Land of Oz". So far so good. The pattern is really easy to memorize. Here's a link to my project page if you want to see some finished pics once its done.

The yarn I used it called Galileo by knit picks. It's super soft and really spongy! I can't wait to see how well it blocks!!!!! The color I'm using is Nebula.

Well, that's all for me tonight. Better get back to eating my tasty peach pie!

Christmas Prep! Getting my Game Face ON!

Hello folks! Just thought I'd put in a short post today sharing with you all what project I'm currently working on.

Christmas is creeping up on me as well as my big move to Canada. I've been trying to dig through my yarn stash and figure out some wonderful gifts that I can knit/crochet up. I am currently working on the Yellow Brick Road cowl. It's a really useful and cut accessory for one of my family members!

I hope I'll be able to sell some things in my etsy store to help with holiday costs. Goodness it gets crazier each year!! I bet you all have a laundry list of things to do...laundry is probably on that list. Speaking of laundry...I better get to it! See you all later.

Bags and Purses EVERYWHERE!! Ruffles and Bows, Roses and Ribbon....

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've shared with you all the neat things at e.blackie Designs. I've been rushing around like crazy lately trying to get everything ready to move to Canada! Woohoo!!! There have been lots and lots of bags in the works. The one on the top is a Phantom of the Opera inspired bag that I came up with a while ago. You can view the item for sale here. I love roses and I'll never forget that scene at the end of the movie when old Raoul placed the black rose at Christine's grave.

.
Here's another bag that I did recently. I was kinda feeling a bit down and out, so I headed off to Hancock Fabrics to look at all the pretty's muahahahaha! I absolutely loved the teal and brown floral print...and nothing goes better with floral than POLKA DOTS! I thought the little bow was a nice touch to really make this bag beam happiness. You can find it for sale here!

Ok, one more bag that I did is this really adorable and chic black and cream butterfly bag listed for sale in my etsy store. This bag was inspired by one of my friends who loves the whole "Paris" theme and style. She has a really cute cream and black skirt with Eiffel Towers, ribbon, and butterflies printed on it. I thought I'd try to replicate it in purse form. The result, I think, is really romantic and cute!

Well then, that's all for me today. Please keep checking back for more inspiration
and ideas from e.blackie Designs. I can give you a hint about my next post. It will probably...er most definitely have something to do with THIS.
